Many women are reluctant to wear shorts. The main reason we have encountered is the way their thighs look when they wear them.
One of the key parts of shorts and bib shorts are the leg grippers. They play a very important role in keeping everything in the right place as you ride.
But while all of our leg gripper options work well in terms of fit and comfort, some are too restrictive when used on softer female skin fabrics. This sometimes makes even the most athletic riders feel like they've gained a few pounds.
That's why we started looking for better options. One of those options is in our Epic line of women's bib shorts.
For the Vesper Bibhort Soft, we went a different route. We used a type of soft Lycra on the leg ends and folded it in half (so you have the soft side inside and outside the leg ends). The result is a lower leg that offers just the right amount of compression to keep the shorts in place, without being too constricting.
The Vesper Soft bib shorts are a great example of how we work with existing materials. We're rethinking the very concept of cycling shorts until they meet the needs of the cyclist. This is the bib short of choice for all women who want comfort, ease of wear and aesthetics.
