The MET Trenta 3K Carbon MIPS is a road helmet made for performance and forElite cyclists. Winner of the Tour de France and the monumental Liège-Bastogne-Liège, it's designed to keep your head cool and save your energy with every pedal stroke. The MET Trenta 3K Carbon MIPS is the most advanced road helmet we've ever created.
No compromise is made on performance, and we've integrated the lightest and most advanced system for managing rotational forces: MIPS AIR®, integrated into the foams. MIPS AIR® has been specifically developed and designed to be the lightest system possible, reducing the harmful rotational energies transferred to the head durant from specific angular impacts. MIPS AIR® is integrated into the Trenta 3K Carbon foams, allowing a relative movement of 10-15mm between the energy-absorbing layer and the foam.
The construction of MET Trenta 3K Carbon MIPS outperforms all autres helmets on the market. Our R&;D team at team has taken advantage of the elastic moduli of carbon, enabling us to reduce the density of the EPS foam by 20%, without affecting the helmet's ability to absorb energy. The result is a higher-performance shell that sets a new standard in ventilated helmet design.
Initially developed by NACA, the forerunner of NASA, the position of this vent on the upper part of the helmet provides optimum ventilation. Using the power of the Venturi effect, the wind pushes the warm air contained in the helmet out of the specially designed exhaust ports. This ensures a constant flow of air into the helmet, without creating turbulence or drag.
The helmet's tail also has aerodynamic properties. It works in synergy with the NACA vent and rear deflectors to effectively conduct the airflow. It has a lowered profile at the rear, which we developed with specific testing in the NEWTON laboratory wind tunnel at Milan.
