The new SRAM direct mount chainring fromUnite offers excellent chain retention, great mud clearance and durability with a high quality finish. The Unite chainrings are CNC machined in-house from 7075 T6 billet aluminum, one of the hardest grades of aluminum available. Add to that a high quality vibratory anodized finish and you have a winning combination to make your bike stand out from the crowd.A large amount of wear occurs on the front of the chain rings due to the extreme chain line caused by 1x settings, our extra wide alternate tooth profile improves both durability and retention for a longer period of time. When chains start to stretch, they start to jam in certain areas, which damages the chain and the ring. Our chainrings have specially machined recesses that prevent this damage, increasing the longevity of the chain and the chainring. Grip rings use a rigid, lightweight design that is effective and provides excellent protection against rock impact. Check your chain for wear, a worn chain will increase chain drop and wear out your transmission faster. Check the length of your chain, if it is too loose you will lose retention, if it is too tight the chain will break. We always recommend using a SRAM Powerlock chain.
