IvyTex is based on a concept that has been used for many years in the industry for highly stressed points where moving parts need to be protected against wear and tear.
ABUS has chosen to make full use of this concept by using it for the casing of its chain locks, thus increasing the protection against abrasion but also allowing the casing to protect the bike against any damage caused by the chain. In addition to its long service life, IvyTex technology has other properties: the high-tech fabric is durable and extremely flexible, making it waterproof and weatherproof. Water does not penetrate the fabric, protecting the anti-theft device from corrosion. No more excuses in bad weather not to secure your bike for fear of dirt.
