The Easton Direct Mount chainrings utilize a Narrow / Wide design specifically tailored for road / cx / gravel applications. The individual tooth profile has been changed from the traditional symmetrical shape to the specific directional design with the intention of creating positive chain engagement to facilitate chain retention, essential to prevent chain derailment and jumping on rough terrain. Combined with higher teeth, the Easton chainrings can be used without a guide bar.
All Easton chainrings are equipped with the Cinch Direct Mount System, which allows for quick switching The use of the Cinch DM System also results in significant weight savings.
