Description
The rigid tire Continental Ribbon optimally combines high puncture protection and low rolling resistance with low weight. This is made possible by an additional puncture protection layer consisting of a fine cross weave. This gives the tire a high resistance to punctures and damage. Despite the extra layer, the tire has a very good damping capacity and flexibility to adapt perfectly to the ground. The revolutionary tubeless bead allows for simple and easy tire mounting.
This technology, based on activated silica composites, was originallyorigine intended to be a performance compound, but after intensive development at Korbach's R&D facilities, a new advanced compound with excellent grip and outstanding off-road properties has been developed. This new rubber compound, with the self-explanatory name of ' PureGrip ', is ranked just behind BlackChili Compound and is used in performance products for both road and mountain bike.
