Tom Ritchey created Zeta wheels to be precise and predictable for carving endless ribbons of smooth macadam, yet durable and reliable enough to withstand cyclocross racing and gravel rides that would rip inferior wheels to shreds.
With a CNC-machined braking surface for smooth control and stopping power, WCS Zeta alloy rims are tubeless-ready with a pre-installed Ritchey rim tape for easy adjustment and, best of all, simple access to spoke heads for repairs and replacements should the need arise. The rear rim features Ritchey's pioneering OCR™ technology - an off-center drilling of the spoke holes that equalizes spoke tension across the entire wheel, making it stronger. With an internal width of 20 mm, these rims accommodate tires from 25 to 43 mm wide - ideal for all your favorite disciplines.
At the heart of these rim-brake wheels is the legendary Phantom Flange system, combined with a precision Ratchet Driver system in the rear hub. Phantom Flange hubs offer the elegant profile of straight pull spokes while retaining the strength and reliability of traditional J-bend spokes, representing the perfect balance between aesthetics, performance and ease of maintenance. Inside the rear hub, the innovative Ratchet Driver system offers 360-degree, 36-point engagement, guaranteeing direct drive efficiency and unrivalled power transfer.
To double the serviceability of these wheels, you can easily remove... without tools... the free hub body, axle and Ratchet Driver system for basic periodic maintenance - and to lay them flat when packed in a Ritchey Break-Away travel case.
