Description
For over thirty years, MET has been creating helmets for the most renowned cyclists. We've learned, refined and developed our products making them faster, lighter and more comfortable with each generation. Optimized for peloton use, the MET Trenta Mips is a performance road helmet designed to keep your head cool and save energy with every pedal stroke.
Utilizing the MIPS-C2® Rational Impact Management System, the MET Trenta Mips is able to slide relative to the head in the event of an impact, redirecting harmful rotational forces. MIPS is a brain protection system designed to add protection to conventional helmet construction in certain types of impacts. The MIPS Brain Protection System (BPS) is attached to the inside of the helmet, between the comfort foams and the EPS.
Originally developed by NACA, the forerunner of NASA, the position of this vent on the top of the helmet allows for optimal ventilation. Using the power of the Venturi effect, the wind pushes the warm air in the helmet out of the specially designed exhaust ports. This guarantees a constant air flow in the helmet, without creating turbulence or drag, ensuring the maximum level of comfort durant the longest rides on the road or on gravel.
Optimized for peloton use, the tube-shaped tail and internal ventilation channels ensure that MET Trenta performs optimally in a group, offering up to 7% less drag than a traditional road helmet. It has a lowered profile at the rear that, working in synergy with the NACA vent and rear baffles, allows for efficient airflow channelling. In-mold polycarbonate shell with EPS cap
