Description
The Enve 3.4 has a different front and rear geometry: the front rim is lower and wider to increase crosswind stability, while the rear rim is taller and narrower to further reduce aerodynamic drag and delay airflow separation after flowing across the rider and bike.
Made from continuous unidirectional carbon fiber, it is lighter than the conventional SES 3.4 braking version because it is not exposed to the problems of heat build-up and thermal expansion at the braking surface. Also, it does not have a braking surface and must be mounted only with disc brakes.
It is therefore able to absorb the additional force of disc brakes. It is also extremely resistant to shocks since it is designed the same way as the other mountain wheels of the range. These qualities make the 3.4 Disc a very good cyclocross and Gravel wheel. Because of its characteristics, it proves to be an excellent choice for road cyclists or gravel enthusiasts who want to equip their road bike with disc brakes.
