Our legendary I-Beam construction has evolved to further strengthen the rim with two support beams that provide increased strength and stiffness for the world's most aggressive riders. KOM Tough rims have proven themselves on the toughest Enduro World Series tracks, on everyday trails and in remote bikepacking areas of the world. They are available in 25, 29, 35, 40 and 45mm widths to provide a robust rim for every use and riding style.
TCS 2.0: TCS 2.0 introduces a more robust, easier to install and more reliable tubeless system. A recessed channel along the center of TCS 2.0 rims allows for the installation of the all-new solid tape, which prevents the tubeless tape from sagging at the spoke holes and provides a smooth, consistent interface between the tire and rim. Installation of the solid tape allows the more flexible and easy-to-install Flex tape to provide the tight seal needed for a tubeless system.
I-Beam: - The I-Beam reinforces the inner cavity of the rim. This distinctive support counterbalances spoke loads and provides lateral stiffness.
4D Drilling: The spoke holes are drilled at a precise starting angle to align the spoke head and nipple with the hub flange, eliminating binding and side loading while distributing the load more evenly over a larger area. This extends the life of the wheel and increases stability.
