Shoes MX239-X

The MX239 MTB shoe is the latest version of one of our all-time favourite MTB shoes, designed for cyclists tackling remote and technical trails. This evolution of our legendary MX238 has been updated to include an integrated tongue on the medial panel of the upper for a firmer foot hold, ensuring power is maximised as you push forward with improved stability - a vital ingredient on soft and technical terrain.

The MX239 MTB shoe features a new internal heel counter reinforced with fiberglass, creating a more stable heel hold, and has more space between the two BOA® dials for a better fit in the forefoot area. It takes one of our favourite off-road adventure cycling shoes to a whole new level of comfort, fit, and performance, all while showcasing a modern style. Add to that the genuine Mountain Competition rubber sole, and you have an MTB shoe ready to take on any challenge.

Shape
MX Competition Last - Featuring a wider toe box and a tighter heel than the Comfort Plus Last and with a slightly higher overall volume than the Sport Last. Exceptionally secure for intense rides/races with enough room in the toe box to prevent pinching during climbs or tricky technical sections, while the wider toe box gives your feet a more natural fit and platform.

Our MX Competition Last from Lake ensures that the MX239 MTB shoe is designed to maximise your performance during off-road adventures or races on rugged terrain – for as long as your adventures last.

Outsole
The MX239 is equipped with our 100% carbon fibre Lake Competition sole, as well as our genuine Mountain Competition rubber sole, featuring extended protection for excellent ground stability. This additional outer sole protection helps ensure stability on all types of surfaces while providing the necessary performance on the pedals. The rubber extends over the front edge of the shoe, offering crucial wear protection on soft terrain.

Lining
This latest high-performance off-road shoe comes with either a Clarino microfiber upper or Helcor leather with mesh and Outlast heel lining. The abrasion-resistant Helcor leather is specifically designed to be extremely durable against frictions, scrapes, and scratches. Clarino microfiber is highly resilient and strong against the hard wear of long rides on all terrains, maintaining its shape and stability while being lighter than full-grain leather and more durable at thinner weights. This allows us to provide you with a cycling shoe that remains stable in all riding conditions and stands the test of time.

With your foot wrapped in our legendary Lake comfort, the Outlast temperature-regulating heel and tongue lining offers a luxurious feel for your foot, while maintaining a breathable, durable, and secure grip on your foot.

Closure
BOA® Fit System Li2 Dials. The Li2 dial is the most advanced platform in cycling, providing a precise and micro-adjustable fit in both directions and designed to withstand abrasion. No single element can be credited solely for the fit of the shoe. The closure and comfort depend on several details, which is why here at Lake, we take the time to design shoes with what we believe are the best comfort and closure systems. The BOA® double adjustment system is not unique to cycling, but it’s how we utilise this dial system in conjunction with our pattern work, our world-class shoe shape, and our selection of top materials for the upper that makes this system work.
