The SIXS Carbon Merinos Wool® undergloves guarantee incredible thermal protection, protecting the athlete's hands from unpleasant temperature changes.
The polypropylene layer in contact with the skin prevents the accumulation of perspiration, offering unique comfort. Merino wool (one of the most thermoregulating natural fibres) is carefully placed in the outer layer to act as a barrier. Wear under gloves with protectors or use as running gloves.
MATERIALS CARBON MERINOS WOOL®
Merino wool on the outside acts as a barrier against the cold, while polypropylene in contact with the skin transfers perspiration to the outside, keeping the body dry.
We selected a traditional natural material and added our know-how to make this product.
That's why the pieces are made of merino wool but also carbon, polypropylene, polyamide and elastane.
We wanted the product to be as comfortable as the other products presented in the catalogue SIXS.
This is why we chose to insert the polypropylene on the inside, in direct contact with the skin, and to keep the merino wool (known to be rougher and coarser than other materials) on the outside.
Wool has better thermoregulatory properties than any other natural fibre, and thus acts as a barrier against the cold.
Polypropylene, on the other hand, is a hydrophobic yarn, i.e. it does not absorb liquids, and allows for optimal perspiration management.
Finally, carbon helps thermoregulation, improves the body's microcirculation, is bacteriostatic (it fights against bad odours) and antistatic.
