Description
The brand new Manta Mips is a helmet that defines the MET aesthetic and its highly contemporary design. It shines just as brightly as the original but with a sharper look, standing at the forefront. The MET Manta Mips is more aerodynamic than its predecessor thanks to a lowered tube-shaped tail, specifically developed in the wind tunnel at the NEWTON laboratory in Milan. Using the rational impact management system MIPS-C2®, the MET Manta Mips is able to slide relative to the head in the event of an impact, redirecting harmful rotational forces. MIPS is a brain protection system designed to add protection to the classic helmet construction against certain types of impacts. The MIPS Brain Protection System (BPS) is attached inside the helmet, between the comfort padding and the EPS. The Fidlock® magnetic buckle makes it easier and quicker to fasten the helmet, effectively reducing transition times in Triathlon. While primarily an aerodynamic helmet, the MET Manta MIPS is also well ventilated. We designed the internal channels to channel the air. The signature NACA ventilation of MET works in synergy with specially positioned exhausts to ensure a constant airflow within the helmet without creating turbulence and drag. It has two ports for storing sunglasses. Apart from its performance, the MET Manta Mips is also exceptionally comfortable. The 360° headband ensures there are no pressure points on the skull and its internal shape is inspired by the renowned MET Trenta 3K Carbon.
