Inspiration can come from anywhere. For the ProTaper Stein handles, it comes from beer mugs. Wisconsin, where Hayes is headquartered, is a land of German immigrants. The tradition of beer brewing is strong and consumption is generous. So, when looking for a new design for mountain bike grips, the ProTaper team had to look no further than what their hands were already holding: a mug of beer! And the honeycomb pattern combined with a 2-ply soft rubber compound makes for a perfect grip!
