A mountain bike brake disc is chosen based on your practice: 160 or 180 mm are sufficient for cross-country, while 203 or 220 mm are necessary for enduro, downhill, and on an electric mountain bike. Then check the fitting on the hub, either Center Lock or 6 bolts, the maximum diameter allowed by the fork and frame, and the thickness recommended by your brake manufacturer.
