The two cranks made from aluminium feature AISI 630 steel spindle: as with the whole Ekar GT group, the clever combination of materials ensures lightweight components with maximum efficiency and strength.

The new ProTech™ technology combines the two spindles inside the bottom bracket, using a single strong screw. The oversized stainless steel bearing is located on the crank, fixed to the spindle, allowing optimal rolling efficiency and strength and easy access for checking and maintenance without needing to dismantle the cups.

There are five chainring options: 36T, 38T, 40T, 42T, 44T. Their optimized design ensures efficient transmission and maximum chain reliability.

The lightweight and durable 7075 aluminium chainrings are easily interchangeable: just unscrew them from the four arms of the crank without having to dismantle the crankset. The four arms, arranged symmetrically for optimal load distribution, have a BCD of 104 mm. Changing the chainrings is a simple and effective way to change gears when facing different types of routes.

The Ekar GT crankset offers three possible crank lengths - 170, 172.5, and 175 mm - to suit all cyclists and all types of bikes. For some gravel bikes with a low bottom bracket, shorter cranks are more commonly used to avoid ground contact on rough and unpredictable terrain.
