For the user who prefers a wide seat, Repente has designed a new, compact and ultra light saddle. The dimensions of Latus M are 240 mm x 142 mm and its weight is only 140 grams. The structure is entirely made of unidirectional carbon, machined in an autoclave, a process that maximizes the mechanical properties of the material. The frame has differentiated sections. Latus M has a flattened rear support surface to provide optimum support in the event of a very pronounced distance between the ischial tuberosities. The saddle is traversed axially by a channel whose shape follows the bone profile according to the inclination of the pelvis. The anatomical channel reaches its maximum depth where it is necessary to ensure optimal relief for the perineal area. The curvature between the wide part of the saddle and the front part, which is more tapered, has been studied to guarantee maximum freedom of movement for the leg and to avoid any problems of friction in the inner thigh. Viewed from the side, the upper profile of the saddle has a slight central depression to help maintain the most comfortable position and counteract the tendency to slide forward. The generous padding in Eva, an extremely high-performance material, is present right up to the front, preventing the rider from feeling tedious and numb even when pedalling in an aerodynamic position.
