Reynolds Cryo Blue Shimano / Sram brake pads (set of 4) replace the pads on two Shimano or Sram calipers for use with Reynolds carbon wheels. For maximum braking power, use Reynolds Cryo Blue Power Shimano / Sram pads.
For Reynolds engineers, it made sense to develop brake pads in parallel with their rims, given the essential role both play in braking performance. Made from proprietary polymer compounds, Reynolds Cryo-Blue brake pads are designed to work specifically with the CTg brake track. Together, the combination of the brake track and Reynolds Cryo Blue brake pads reduces rim temperatures by up to 104°C compared with carbon-specific pads fromautres manufacturers, which can cause rim deterioration.
For this reason, Reynolds recommends the exclusive use of Reynolds Cryo Blue brake pads and, according to the warranty conditions Reynolds, the use of any other brake pad immediately voids the warranty.
