The radical new look and design of the X-SYNC 2 SL Eagle chainring is a direct result of studies conducted by SRAM transmission engineers on the performance and wear characteristics of thousands of X-SYNC chainrings. The brand subjected all chainring sizes to countless environmental and mechanical tortures, abuse and neglect, both in the lab and in the real world, before arriving at a chainring that could increase the performance of the Eagle drivetrain in all conditions. The specific tooth shape was designed to fit the new Eagle chain perfectly, to increase chain retention and overall pedaling efficiency, while reducing friction, noise and wear.
