The 19mm inner width of this wheelset has been optimised to fit wide tubeless tyres at low pressures. The wavy shape of the 53/58mm high rim of the 454 NSW, our patented Sawtooth™ profile has been inspired by nature to achieve the best performing wheel we offer in terms of aerodynamics and stability in side wind conditions. The powerful and graceful movements of the humpback whale are reinforced by nodules on its pectoral fins. Zipp product development engineers have, for the first time ever, imitated these structures to use biomimicry to solve the complex challenges of wheel design by creating the Hyperfoil™ asperities that reduce aerodynamic drag and crosswind force.
