The name of the Zipp Service Course 70 XPLR bar, XPLR, illustrates the desire to explore the world with an expanded definition of cycling on a handlebar bike... from paved roads to gravel, mud, dirt and even single track. The XPLR Service Course 70 helps you go faster by putting your body, starting with your hands, in an optimal "comfort zone" position for hours of riding on a variety of terrain. Today's cyclists demand certain things from their riding position, whether it's a two-hour training ride from home or a 200-mile adventure on the gravel: comfort, control and the ability to carry what they need. We addressed these needs by creating a handlebar with shallow, wide drops, focusing specifically on two crucial parameters: outweep and flare. The outweep is created by rotating the drop under the brake pole outward. Flare is created by rotating the entire leech above the brake handle outward.
