Electric bike Karma FS+XT-E8000- 504 WhPOWER AND FREEDOM
The freedom to go down any path! Fully suspended, this VTTAE is equipped with the lockout system that allows the bike to be locked in the hard trail position so it becomes the ideal companion for descending steep slopes or sneaking into the forest, once adopted, it will not be possible to do without it!
Like all the mountain bikes in our Karma range, it is equipped with the powerful Shimano E8000 engine and a Shimano 504 Wh battery.

KARMA FS TECHNOLOGY
THE REAR SUSPENSION HAS 4 PIVOTS
The Karma FS is equipped with a pivot point rear suspension. We made this choice in order to optimize the rear suspension's behavior to pedaling, braking and impacts.
The "traditional" design of full-suspension ATVs is to attach the rear wheel to the chainstays, which pivot around a pivot point attached near the bottom bracket housing. This is called a single-pivot design. This leaves very little opportunity to fine-tune the rear suspension behaviour.
The 4 pivot points allow to refine :
The "anti-squat". This is to prevent the suspension from compressing when pedalling, which costs unnecessary energy, while at the same time reducing rear wheel grip. The vertical force of pedalling is counterbalanced by chain tension, keeping the rear suspension stable.
Anti-skid. When braking on a single-pivot suspension, the suspension compresses, reducing grip and therefore control of the bike. The 4 pivot points allow the effective pivot point to be moved away from the bike, which limits the compression of the rear suspension and therefore the loss of grip.
The pedal kickback. When the suspension compresses, the chain tension can increase, pushing the pedals in the opposite direction to their normal rotation. This can be dangerous, as feet can then slip off the pedals, causing loss of control. The chain tension is almost constant thanks to the kinematics of our 4-point pivot suspension.
Progressiveness. When the suspension is slightly compressed, it is very flexible in order to keep contact with the ground as much as possible, thus maintaining grip. In the event of larger impacts, the rigidity increases to better dissipate the energy of this type of impact.
THE BOOST MEDIUM
The Boost standard was launched in 2014. It consists of wider hubs at the front and at the rear (110mm vs 100mm normally at the front, 148mm vs 142mm normally at the rear). This widens the "umbrella" of the wheels, which significantly increases the lateral stiffness of the wheels. This gain in stiffness is useful in corners, where the wheels are heavily loaded laterally, especially on ATVs, which are heavier than conventional mountain bikes. Our Karmas use Shimano hubs with tapered bearings, unlike the cartridge bearings used by many other manufacturers. This type of bearing also increases the lateral stiffness of the wheels.
TUBELESS TIRES
The Karma FS and HT are not tubeless after assembly. However, the tyres and rims fitted on them are compatible and can therefore be easily converted.
Tubeless literally means "tubeless". This technology, which originated in the automotive industry, means that tubes are no longer required. In order to maintain the pressure in the tyre, the rim is sealed with a special rim base. The tyre is filled with a preventive liquid that fills the holes if necessary.
The use of tubeless tyres reduces the number of punctures, thanks to the preventive liquid, but also the absence of an inner tube makes pinch punctures impossible. Moreover, as the tubes are not pinched, it is possible to reduce the tyre pressure considerably, which increases grip on soft ground.
