Description

Asymmetrical aluminum tray 4 arms Absolute Black 110 BCD Shimano 50 T

The are designed for both new and old Shimano crank types like Shimano Dura-Ace 9000, Ultegra 6800, Shimano 105 5800, Tiagra 4700. These are the best oval chainrings on the secondary market in terms of shifting, stiffness and build quality. Oval chainrings do not produce more force, they increase the efficiency of pedaling, thanks to a better transmission of forces. That is to say that it is not necessarily by pedaling harder that you will go further. But the less force you lose, the more energy you will keep, allowing you to pedal harder when necessary and thus reduce your general fatigue. That's why you can ride faster, longer and farther with oval chainrings. Studies conducted by the University of Primorska, Slovenia, show significant differences between the use of chainrings and conventional round chainrings. It is proven that using an oval chainring can bring up to 9% increase in pedal stroke efficiency, up to 7% less oxygen consumption, 15% less breathing and up to 10% decrease in heart rate.

  • The 34D Premium Series inner ring is not compatible with dataloggers that use a circular spider (SRAM Quarq, Power2Max, etc).
  • If you want to use another configuration, it will work as well, but the front derailleur will be slower and require more adjustments to be acceptable.
  • Also remember that the front derailleur can only accept a maximum difference of 16T between 2 chainrings, that's how Shimano and Sram designed them.
  • Absolute Black Always recommend using a new chain when mounting new chainrings.
  • A unique look
  • Super stiff design thanks to a 5mm thicker construction.
  • Bespoke Absolute Black 4/6 point ramp and shift recess design moves as snappy as original
  • The thinner design offers an excellent weight to strength ratio.
  • First, you must remove the crank from your bike. Once removed, unscrew the 4 screws that hold two chainrings together with a T-30 torx wrench. Remove the two original chainrings. Locate the new inner chainring with the triangular timing indicator positioned behind the crank arm. The outer chainring Absolute Black has a specific shape of mounting tabs, so it only fits one way on the new version of crank arm (for older cranks, locate the recess on the chainring behind the crank arm). If you are replacing a different chainring, you will need a set of regular "double" chainring screws or our set of screw covers. Tighten all four screws to approximately 5-7 Nm. Reassemble your crank on the bike. If you have changed the size of the outer ring, you must also adjust the front derailleur.
  • Position Inside
  • Outside Axis 110 Speed 11
