Description

5-arm oval aluminum tray Absolute Black 110 BCD 52 T

The are designed for new and old Shimano cranks like Shimano Dura-Ace FC7950, Ultegra FC6750, Shimano 105 -5750. They are the best oval chainrings in the aftermarket in terms of shifting, stiffness and build quality. Oval chainrings do not produce more force, they increase pedaling efficiency, thanks to a better transmission of forces. That is to say that it is not necessarily by pedaling harder that you will go further. But the less force you lose, the more energy you will keep, allowing you to pedal harder when necessary and thus reduce your general fatigue. That's why you can ride faster, longer and farther with oval chainrings. Studies conducted by the University of Primorska, Slovenia, show significant differences between the use of chainrings and conventional round chainrings. It is proven that using an oval chainring can bring up to 9% increase in pedal stroke efficiency, up to 7% less oxygen consumption, 15% less breathing and up to 10% decrease in heart rate.

  • Compatible: 9 / 10 / 11 V.
  • Compatibility: Shimano Dura-Ace 7950, Ultegra 6750, Shimano 105- 5750, Tiagra 4650, FSA, Rotor 3D & 3D+, S-works
  • Also fits Sram Force and Red but is NOT compatible with Sram cranks that have a hidden chainring screw (Force22, Red22).
  • Compatible with Di2
  • Works with 2 chainring systems and requires no modification to the front derailleur to use.
  • Designed in the UK. Made in Poland (EU).
  • Material and finish CNC machined 7075 Txxx aluminum. Long life construction. Type II anodizing
  • Ovality: Optimized for each size separately. 34D- 6.5%; 36D- 11.4%, 38D- 11.4%, 50/52 - 10.3%; Timing 108 -109.5° after TDC (top dead center) - Ideal for road climbing. Patent Pending
  • If you are currently using 53/39D chainrings, you have 130BCD cranks (not 110bcd). In this case, please look at our 130BCD chainrings as you will not be able to use anything smaller than 53/39D.
  • Absolute Black Always recommend using a new chain when mounting new chainrings.
  • A unique special oval shape that helps you climb easier and faster (patent pending).
  • Over 15% stiffer than Rotor Qrings due to a 5mm thicker construction.
  • The ramp and 6-point recess design of the Absolute Black deck is better than any other brand or model of oval deck.
  • The thinner design offers an excellent weight to strength ratio.
  • You won't feel the oval shape when you pedal.
  • Your pedaling action will be smoother.
  • Helps reduce stress on the knees and helps your legs stay cooler longer.
  • You'll be able to maintain a better cadence when climbing.
  • Reduces the risk of leg cramps
  • You'll reduce chainring and sprocket changes by at least 15%.
  • To make the adjustment, you will need 2mm and 5mm Allen wrenches.
  • If your derailleur is sticking out from the chain when you switch from the small chainring to the large chainring, it means that your "gap" is greater than 2 mm when the chain is on the large chainring (see video). You may need to reduce the gap. Your front derailleur is probably also too high compared to what is recommended in the video.
  • If your front derailleur is hesitating to go from the small chainring to the large chainring, there are probably two problems. The gap may be too small (it should be 2 mm - see video) or your cage is not parallel to the face of the large chainring.
  • First, you need to remove the crank from your bike. Once removed, unscrew the 5 screws that hold two chainrings together with a T-30 torx wrench. Remove the two original chainrings. Locate the new inner chainring with the triangular timing indicator positioned behind the crank arm. The outer chainring Absolute Black has a specific shape of mounting tabs, so it only fits one way on the new version of crank arm (for older cranks, locate the recess on the chainring behind the crank arm). If you are replacing a different chainring, you will need a set of regular "double" chainring screws or our set of screw covers. Tighten all four screws to approximately 5-7 Nm. Reassemble your crank on the bike. If you have changed the size of the outer ring, you must also adjust the front derailleur
  • Position Inside
  • Outside Center distance 110 Speed 10
