The Cycl-e XT-Sport tyre was born to guarantee the total safety and reliability of Pirelli tyres, even on dirt roads, and thus prolong the pleasure of using an electric bike outside urban centres.
On the Crossterrain models, Pirelli has given priority to grip on rough ground and easy off-roading. In this respect, it has inserted a part that intervenes significantly in sudden manoeuvres on slippery surfaces by increasing the lateral mechanical grip.
The tread of the Cycl-e range consists of two layers of compound: a "cap" compound, in contact with the asphalt, and a "base" with an anti-puncture function.
The formulation of the first layer guarantees a driving safety unseen until now on tyres of this segment. This ensures very good driving safety, great comfort and above all excellent handling on dry or wet surfaces and on different types of road (especially cobblestones, pedestrian crossings, etc.), guaranteeing the precision inherent in high-performance Pirelli tyres.
The "base" compound has been inserted to prevent debris or external objects from penetrating the cover. In addition to providing a physical barrier due to its high thickness, it has been specially formulated to incorporate sharp objects and prevent the tyre from being punctured.
In this sport version, the Crossterrain has a continuous centre band, its number of grooves is reduced and the longitudinal orientation of its tread pattern ensures optimum fluidity and speed.
