Its full-tooth knobs dig into soft terrain and tackle rocks and roots. Verdict Wet provides higher knobs that cut through muddy terrain to provide reliable traction in unpredictable, greasy conditions. Dry and dusty during the loose summer months in California, Colorado or Italy? Go with the verdict. Wet and sloppy like an average spring ride in the Pacific Northwest or the UK? Go with the Wet Verdict. Pair it with a Judge: - The Judge 2.4 rear tire complements their use with equally rugged knobs that emphasize claw-like braking traction while keeping in mind rolling efficiency. Looking to keep the front end straight while steering with the rear? That's what you get with the green/judge combo. Tritec and Slash Guard: - Verdict and Verdict Wet feature the TriTec compound, which uses three rubber compounds to provide different levels of traction, support and durability depending on their placement in the tread. The entire tread pattern is supported by a supportive rubber base, which transforms midway through the knob height and allows the use of softer knob compounds without bending under cornering forces. The tops of the center knobs are made of an intermediate compound to provide traction and durability without sacrificing rolling efficiency. The outer knobs feature a soft compound that provides maximum traction and slow rebound. All TCS Light versions of the new Verdict tires feature Slash Guard technology, which incorporates a protective nylon insert covering the entire sidewall to provide additional protection without the weight of a double-ply casing. Verdict Wet is only available with a TCS Tough casing and is therefore not available with Slash Guard.
