- Closing the distribution port: The distribution port of a hydraulic brake is the connection between the reservoir and the bore of the master cylinder. When the lever is pressed, a cup-shaped seal passes through this area and closes the port, pressurizing the system. The new timing port closure system from SRAM features durable seals and an ultra-smooth cylinder bore finish, producing reliable and consistent braking power.
